Del Mar Galleries was originally a small art gallery and custom framing business in Aptos, California. For the last few years I have run it from my home for family and friends but decided it was time to open up Del Mar Galleries to a wider audience. As I will be focusing on online sales I won’t be offering custom framing to my web customers, (other than a few pre-framed pieces for sale). The main reason for not offering framing online is custom framing is an art in itself and is also a very personal choice and the framing must not only enhance the artwork but appeal to the owner’s tastes. I would highly recommend getting to know a local professional framer as they could certainly offer a more personal consultation than I could online. So I hope you enjoy my collection of antique prints, contemporary editions and original artwork I have to share. As I grow the site I hope to expand it to showcase local artists as well as some of my more whimsical items of ephemeral and random acts of art.
